OMG if there were ever "streaming porn" it's Just Watch - search engine for finding what tv show/movies/music you can access on the blizzard of apps and sites we all know and don't. So netfurks and ach bee oh max and spamazon (names redacted) aren't of course the only players by far.

I for one am hooked on TubiTV (which sadly is pronounced too-bee instead of tubby). And PlutoTV is a nice mix of live and on demand [w k0merShuLZ].

So I had read on reddit about a bettie page biography on Tubi and it's a great show - love hearing her life in her own words and she is so charming to listen to! - then learned about JW and found same movie on Plex TV without ads.

I then also discovered an "old" (2016) classic fave Arrival - about linguist trying to communicate with aliens that arrive on earth - also for free on Plex.

Bonus: Final public photo of Bettie - eternal smile.

Ooo. Didn't know about that search engine. Thanks!
Oh man, I was totally going to build that! Well, I’m glad someone told me it’s already been done. 😀

ok well it's a good thing i guess. g$ is killing free private domain accounts, we've had the ride since aught six.. so now it's time to move all my sh1te to other accounts or whatever. I'll manage. It's just a hAssLe.

Definitely frustrating for you, but I do like that they allow me to pay for at least some of what they also gave away for free. I feel more like a customer and less like a product.
Interesting point. Well we moved our email to our hosting domain and still able to use the rest of the g-world for whatever.

So often i have bought paper journals, inspired to write the words of my heart for future reflection and memorial eternal. I have a milk crate of these journals now, along with a personal moratorium on buying any such books for intended purpose. Most have one of two conditions of note:

  • One viviacious entry full of bubbling enthusiasm
  • No entries, blank as the day born, awaiting the proper moment to crack open the floodgates of time

It is not all in vain, however, as the inspiration came to me from the days of college creative writing, where we had to keep a small spiral book with us to write something every day. How was that so much easier then than now?

  • How do you inspire yourself to write?
  • What do you deem as "write-worthy?"
  • To whom are you addressing in your compositions?
  • How much win is this chalk drawing?

n.b. I haven't posted on 1PW for a while, I love all the enhancements I've missed, and I think I must have had my posts all private will mark them all public (all two that is #rofl)

Since you asked...

I don't deem anything worth writing down until after I've written it. I brain-barf, and some of it happens to be good.

I highly recommend it. Just spill words or hieroglyphics or spirals or whatever for 30 minutes a day until the timer goes off.
thanks i think that is exactly what i need to do. i had set some reminder to write but i hadn't thought about a timer on writing itself.
Welcome back!
thanks, the site looks so nice now, very inviting. i will have to try this from mobile too.
Found your account via Tom’s recent post comments. Hope you don’t mind.

I have had the same affliction. Bought many a notebook (I have a whole ‘system’ for my daily driver’s log book that I set up with the hope that it would be more than ‘just’ that).

But with the ubiquity of digital platforms, I find digital… better. If I don’t have the notebook with me, or I’m not inspired when it IS with me…

Or what if I want to share something? I have to go find that notebook and dig it out, then thumb through it and… just… no.

I’m a bit like Lindsay. If I am not feeling inspired, but I’m reading the latest posts on OPW, I’ll try to ‘brain barf’ and see if anything comes of it. If not? I just mark it as private.

Because the thing is - I /want/ to write more. To journal more. I like getting my thoughts down. It’s similar to (but also different from) meditation.

Oh, and dictation on both iOS and Android have both improved enough that I even use that sometimes while rolling down the road if I want to get a thought down before I forget it.

So, journaling - yes. Paper - no. OPW? Perfect. (I may be a little biased, though.)

Ironic how that spelled out. Yosemite is of course the new OSX code name. But in being ever so witty in my choice of a subject line, it came out sounding almost political if not racist. Yeeks. Well anyway.. after fudging with my Time Capsule settings as for some reason they weren't, er, time capsuling.. I am now needing to friggen/fricken get a reliable backup before thrashing my laptop with the latest OS release.. and why.. so I can be the first in line for version 1.0 bugs, right? Yeah, well I just have to kick the tires for once and be a leader not a follower...

Already it is weird bc the "new" iTunes icon is red, perhaps as a warning you will hate the new interface.. Yet it was only the icon I disliked. Why red? After ages of lovely blue. Maybe they are pandering to mainland China. After all they prob had to cut some deal to get China Vogue to feature the Apple Watch on the cover.

Ugh.. well now I see the backup is finally running.. and says.. 4 hours.. which means no habla updato senor this evening.. So will have to leave the shiny installer hangin' out in open space while I let the backup run over night.

I'll leave you with the colorful bubblicious game center icon. If you're ever one to play there, let me know, we can try and compete on whatever games we both suck at because I am not good at any games, in fact rather hate gaming. Very old school. Like chalk in the driveway. Or throwing rocks. Yeah, like that.

Due to the volatile nature of the post title, and the utter lamitude of the actual post itself. I will now attempt to use the "friends only" lock as hey, I've got you lovely people following me now.. Will you, dare you, comment? Would you comment on my blog? Would you comment on a log? Would you could you on a desk? Would you could you in a nest?

Oh yeah, I tried adding a link, and image, used some bold and italics.. now I need to try the bulleted list feature:

  • Voila!

I need to get to sleep....

I could, I would, but I shouldn't.
what?

What a fitting suggested post, thanks 1PW.. as the last time I went swimming was in the ocean, and a big wave snuck from behind and swiped my glasses into the sea.

At least you were paying attention. I had no excuse when I RAN INTO A LAKE WITH MY GLASSES ON, swam out to a floating deck underwater half the time, swam back and then realized I wouldn't have any vision beyond ten feet for the bike ride home.

Lovely image, thank you.
